Election and Annual Meeting

The Summer Village of Larkspur will be having an election on Saturday, July 24, 2021. There are 3 open positions and 4 candidates (in alphabetical order by last name).

Please click on each candidates name in order to read a brief bio.

Voting will take place at the Hall between the hours of 10:00 am and 7:00 pm. I am looking for people who are willing to work a 3 hour shift on election day. Please contact me if you are available.

Those eligible to vote are;

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Listed on the title of a property located within the summer village, or the adult partner of someone listed on the title (adult children not listed on title may not vote)
  • Or if not listed on title or a partner of someone on title, must be able to swear that you are a permanent resident of the summer village (ie. renter who lives there full time may vote, seasonal renters may not vote)

You must bring ID with you to vote and sign an elector statement indicating that you are eligible.

If you are unable to vote on election day, you may request that a special ballot be mailed to you. You may request a special ballot via phone at 780-239-7323, via fax 780-416-6353, by mail at 899 Village Mews, Sherwood Park, AB T8A 4L9, or via email at bancroftkim. A special ballot request must be made for each person requiring one. A special ballot package will be mailed to you as per your request along with instructions on how to fill it out and return it. It must be received back prior to election day.

On Sunday, July 25, we will be holding an annual meeting. The meeting will begin at 10:00 am at the hall and there will be lunch directly following it. We will be holding a short meeting at 9:30 am for those residents backing on to reserves to provide a general overview of the new dock disturbance standards and how it affects those lots.

Hope to see you on election day!
