The Summer Village of Larkspur and Westlock County have engaged Municipal Planning Services (MPS) to assist with the preparation of an Intermunicipal Development Plan (IDP).
An IDP is a high-level statutory land use plan for areas of mutual interest of two or more neighbouring municipalities that share common boundaries.
Throughout 2020, the Summer Village, the County, and MPS have been working to prepare a draft IDP. A newsletter was sent to community members in February 2020, which included an online survey. Responses to the survey were shared with both municipalities and used by MPS to develop proposed policies in the IDP.
A draft Summer Village of Larkspur & Westlock County Intermunicipal Development Plan is now available.
